Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series Blacklight 1 - Review, Conclusion

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out the Introduction Post)

In this review, I'll be going over all 14 of the FNaF Blacklight Mystery Minis! They are unique color variations of previously released figures. I'll list them in order of first appearance of the figures those characters were based off of. Honestly I don't have much to say about many of these figures. I'll list some things I like, don't like, etc. for the most part. I have a Conclusion at the end where I gather my thoughts on the series, and followed by a ranking of favorites.

Note: Some of the names I'm listing are not official. They are sometimes based off what I think is most appropriate, or what other more official sources may call them.

Character: Freddy Fazbear (Blacklight, Pink)
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12
This is the bear that started it all, Freddy Fazbe-err, a pinkish variant of him at least. I like how he looks since you don't see Freddy in bright colors often. He's a neat looking figure that pops out on the desk and even among others in the series. He's one of my favorites in the series.

News Post: Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series 4

Series 4
Some great news coming up! It was leaked that there will be another series of FNaF Mystery Minis! Just like the POP figures they announced, these will be based off characters in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator (FFPS). This leak came from the French website (who also leaked Series 3) Micromania. They are scheduled to release January 30th, 2019 now.

Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series Blacklight 1 - Introduction

In 2017, Funko released a set of Five Nights at Freddy's (FNaF) plushies which glow under blacklight. They were vibrant, neon variations of previous plushies, mostly of Freddy and Foxy. They were Funko original creations in terms of color choices. Later in 2018 Funko took this to a new height with more merchandise of blacklight variants for figures, POP figures, and mystery minis. The range of characters and colors was wider this time around. The mystery minis were repaints of the Series 1 mystery minis similar to the Glow Series. Below are some promotional images of the minis.

Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series 3 - Review (Part 2), Conclusion

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out the Introduction Post and Part 1)

In the last review, we went over the first 12 figures in the FNaF Series 3 Mystery Minis. These last 9 are based off of artwork for characters in the FNaF: The Silver Eyes and FNaF: The Twisted Ones. The artwork for the three toys in The Silver Eyes (who also were in The Twisted Ones) were posted in The Freddy Files book. The artwork for the five Twisted animatronics were based off the promotional artwork used for the books. The only one I am not sure on is the Springtrap. There is no (published) promotional art for him besides the recent The Fourth Closet poster artwork. The figure itself seems to be based off his demise in The Silver Eyes versus his resurgence in The Twisted Ones in my opinion due to the anguished look on him. Based off that alone I'll say he's based off The Silver Eyes appearance.

Anyways, enough rambling about continuity and designs, onto the review!

Character: Theodore
Appearance: FNaF: TSE
Rarity: 1/24 (Gamestop only)
This is the decrepit, toy rabbit Charlie owns in The Silver Eyes book. As stated at the top of the post, it's based off the artwork in The Freddy Files. The figure translates well from that artwork and still maintains the style of the mystery minis. It's not small like Plushtrap, but more the size of Toy Bonnie. It's a great figure and has nice, simple details (such as the cracks around the design). The nose on the ones I got were always off-center. I can't tell if that was a factory error or intentional for the design, but just something to note. It's my favorite of the three toy designs!

Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series 3 - Review (Part 1)

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out the Introduction Post)

In this review, I'll be going over the first part of the FNaF Series 3 Mystery Minis. This series included characters from (inhale):
• Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (FNaF 2)
• Five Nights at Freddy's 4 (FNaF 4)
• FNaF 4: Halloween Update (FNaF 4: HU)
• FNaF: Sister Location (FNaF: SL)
• FNaF: Sister Location: Custom Night Update (FNaF: SL: CNU)
• FNaF: The Silver Eyes (FNaF: TSE)
• FNaF: The Twisted Ones (FNaF: TTO)
(exhale) Whew! What a varied wave! I'll go through each character based on their first appearance in the games or date (with some flexibility). I'll start with the first 12 (based off the games), then finish off with the last 9 in the next review (based off the novel illustrations). Hope you enjoy!

Note: Some of the names I'm listing are not official. They are sometimes based off what I think is most appropriate, or what other more official sources may call them (ex. Scott Cawthon, Funko, Quidd).

Character: Shadow Bonnie / RXQ / RXQFAFSXC
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/36 (Gamestop Only)
This is based off Shadow Bonnie (aka RXQ or RXQFAFSXC) from FNaF 2. There was a Shadow Bonnie in Series 1 based off the FNaF 3 minigame version. This one is a great figure based on the design and likeness! There's a subtle two tone black only noticeable up close. My only nit-pick are the claws instead of normal hands. Shadow Bonnie was basically a recolored Toy Bonnie (who didn't have claws). Maybe that design choice was to make him more intimidating? Otherwise it's spot on, making him a favorite of mine!

Holiday Post: Halloween Toys 2018

Hello all,

It's Halloween night in 2018, so now I'm going to post some Halloween movie related toylines, including some lesser known ones! There are a lot out there, but I'll only be focusing on some big ones and obscure ones. I'll link to various blogs and resources for these figures. Please check them out if you want to learn more!
(Note: I posted this somewhere else in the past, but I'm in a rush so I'll just copy+paste what I said before...)

News Post - Fall/Winter 2018

Hello out there,

It's been awhile since I've made a blog post. Due to life circumstances again, I haven't been able to make posts on here. I have worked on some, and have been wanting to update it, but opportunities have been far and few between. This should change in the next few weeks.

Halloween is approaching and I can't wait! I've got the FNaF Series 3 review coming soon in anticipation for the upcoming Series 4 and Black Lights. I was supposed to have Godzilla chibi reviews up, but I may save those for late 2018/early 2019. I'll post a unique Halloween post this year about Horror Movie toy lines. I hope you look forward to that too!

In the mean time, have a good time! Thanks for checking in!

Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series 3 - Introduction

(if you haven't already, feel free to check out the News Post on this series for more history)

Funko announced the next series of Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis in 2018 and then released them a few months later. This series focused on characters from the first two FNaF novels (based off the artwork and descriptions in the books) and Sister Location. There were also four more characters from FNaF 2 and FNaF 4. This series felt like a good expansion to the rest of the line by giving us some characters outside the games and ones that were left out from Series 1 and 2.

Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series 2 - Review (Part 2), Conclusion

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out the Introduction Post and Part 1)

In the last review we went over the first 12, mostly Nightmares, from Series 2 of the FNaF Mystery Minis set. In this review, we'll cover the last 12, mostly Sister Location characters. At the end will be a wrap-up of the series and my final thoughts. Some of the figures are called 'jumpscare' with their face plates opened up. That doesn't particularly mean they are jumpscaring you in the form the figure takes though (ex. Funtime Freddy). It just seems like the best name for the variation compared to the regular figure.

Character: Fredbear Plush
Appearance: FNaF 4 / FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/12 (Gamestop Only)

This is based off the plush you see in FNaF 4 and later in FNaF: SL. It seems to be based off a mix of both. I love the design and pose. The figure is also very small compared to the other figures. There's a good amount of expression and detail for such a small figure. He's a favorite of mine!

Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series 2 - Review (Part 1)

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out the Introduction Post)

The FNaF Series 2 Mystery Minis included characters from Five Nights at Freddy's 4 (FNaF 4), FNaF 4: Halloween Update (FNaF 4: HU), and FNaF: Sister Location (FNaF: SL). FNaF 4 received a Halloween Update after FNaF 4's original release which brought in a few new characters. I'll go through each character based on their first appearance in the games (with some flexibility). I'll start with the first 12 mostly from FNaF 4, and the next post will be 12 mostly from FNaF: SL.

Note: Each of these figures have different rarities than others, sometimes leaving a bad taste in my mouth with receiving many duplicates while failing to acquire the one you want. It's not fair that some people don't have equal opportunity to get any of these figures, but it's equally not fair for me to judge the individual figure with this in mind. I'll do my best to keep my bias aside with rarities this time.

Character: Withered Bonnie
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/24 (Gamestop Only)

This was an outlier figure by being from FNaF 2. It is Withered Bonnie based on how it appears in the FNaF 2 teaser trailer and game. It's similar to how the Toy animatronics are sitting too. I think it's a well made figure in terms of design, like how the eyes are poking out, the little teeth, and wires from his left arm. It isn't purple like the game, yet it's one of my favorites of the series! I hope we see more Withered figures in the future.

Five Nights at Freddy's - Series 2 - Introduction

In 2016, Funko continued their line of Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis with Series 2: Sister Location + Five Nights at Freddy's 4! These were all new molds compared to the Glow Series before it. They also were characters only from FNaF 4 and FNaF:SL (with the exception of Withered Bonnie). It came out to about half and half from each game, spanning 24 characters. There were also three stores with their own set of exclusives. All in all, the series was fantastic and brought quite a few great figures to the line! Lets go into some more details.

Tutorial - Maskless Ennard Mystery Mini

Funko released two Mystery Mini Ennards across Series 2 and 3. One was Ennard based off how we see it in the scooping room and hidden room in Sister Location. The other is based off Ennard in the fake ending of Sister Location. There was one we didn't get a figure of, and that was the 'maskless' version (referred to as 'Ballora' by Ennard itself while trying to trick you). Fortunately both figures have all the right parts to create our own! Below is a walk through tutorial of what I did to make my own:

Five Nights at Freddy's - Artist Custom Mystery Minis

Last Updated: 04/01/2020

Customizing figures is a fun hobby of many toy collectors out there. Customizing involves taking parts of different figures and turning them into a completely different one. This can vary from minor paint application to a figure, to a complex mix-and-match of many figures!

Funko has made many characters across their Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis lines. There are however quite a few that haven't been made yet. This lead me to wanting to make them myself.... but how?

Update 2: 08/07/2018 - More Leaked News (Target Exclusives)
Update 1: 07/12/2018 - Leaked News, Predictions

Series Blacklight

It looks the Blacklight minis came out to be real Mystery Minis (plush and vinyls). They were released recently at Gamestop and ThinkGeek stores, but should be showing up in other stores as well. These seem to have pushed out the FFPS mini releases to early 2019. Honestly I'm fine with that since I don't want to challenge the Christmas shoppers. It's already a nightmare trying to complete a series, even worse if done during Christmas time. The Blacklight minis are nicer than expected, so I think these will hold people over till then!
Updated: Completed the series! Look forward to the review soon!

News Post: Upcoming Reviews (Summer 2018)

Hello out there! Just wanted to give a heads-up that there may be a large gap in posts in the next month as I prepare for two big reviews coming up.
Update: Make that a few months... I'm taking longer than expected. Life priorities are taking me away. I'm updating various posts and things around this Blog when there's time though.

One review is for the FNaF Series 2 Mystery Minis (trying to get caught up on reviews). I have the last of FNaF Series 3 Mystery Minis in the mail (woo-hoo!) so that will be added on the list of things to review in the future. Both of these may take awhile like Series 1 did. I'd like to also add a Customs page for FNaF Mystery Minis. There are some talented people out there that have made some cool custom pieces I'd like to share, along with some pieces I've made myself.

The other big review is going to be for the Bandai Godzilla chibi figures (finally)! Ever since I started this blog I've been teasing them with the Mothra at the top of the website. As I wind down on FNaF I'll get going into Godzilla. The Godzilla ones may also be awhile as I gather my resources and take better pictures. They are one of my favorite lines of toys so I can't wait to share them with you! There are other similar lines out there that I'll touch on as well.

Just wanted to keep you all out there up to date with the future posts. I don't have an expected time for new posts, just sometime this month or the next. In the mean time, have a good one and thanks for your time!

Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series Glow 1 - Review, Conclusion

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out the Introduction Post)

This is the review of the Series 1 Glow Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis. While nice figures, this review itself will be fairly bare bones compared to the last series. I'll make note of some of the decisions for the green motif, and review them in order of appearance in the series.

Character: Freddy Fazbear (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12
This is the bear that started it all, Freddy Faz-wait what happened to you? Green belly and ears. Kept the black hat and bow tie, classic!

Character: Bonnie the Rabbit (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12
The guitar and bow tie are colored for him, even green eye lids. The arms are a little lighter for some reason, not sure if that was a production error or not. Still looks great!

Character: Chica the Chicken (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12
The feet and beaks are green. The bib is the same which is neat. Great pose as always.

Character: Foxy the Pirate (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12
Green eye liner, muzzle, and pants. I like how they kept the silver/metal parts too. Looks good.

Character: Golden Freddy (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12
Green belly, ears, and all else clear. I like the decision since Golden Freddy's more ghost-like in character.

Character: Toy Freddy (Glow v2)
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12
Green eye lid, cheek, belly, and ears. Also a green stripe around the hat. I like that they colored the whiskers too. This is the second glow version of Toy Freddy (see Series 1). It is distinctive enough from the first glow figure to tell them apart.

Character: Toy Bonnie (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12
Green cheeks, eye lids, belly, and ears. The eyes on Toy Bonnie are green so they didn't change that. Like Toy Freddy, I like that they colored the whiskers.

Character: Mangle (Funtime Foxy) (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12
They made her eye lids green, as well as her muzzle, make-up, ears, cheeks, belly, and bow tie. They made her arms and feet metallic, which was creative for Mangle. Looks pretty good.

Character: Marionette (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12
This is the most interesting one to me. They made its body green instead of translucent, and kept the white stripes. Buttons were changed to white, and the head is also white (except for the mask portion). The rest of him is green, except for the mask. Really neat and interesting decision.

Character: Balloon Boy (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12
Basically they made everything green except the alternate stripes and his skin portions. His hair was changed to black though. Similar to Marionette, they put some extra work into this one. I like how it turned out.

Character: Cupcake (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12
The cupcake now has a green motif, except for the blue eyes. The alternate stripes aren't present, giving the translucent look to it.

Character: Springtrap
Appearance: FNaF 3
Rarity: 1/12
This is one of my favorites. All the marks are colored black along with the wires. The belly, ears, and eye lids are colored green. It looks nice with all the black against the translucent white.

Conclusion

A neat series and had some unique design choices. They actually glow pretty decently in the dark. I'd recommend not constantly keeping them exposed to sunlight too long though. I'll give my rankings as Best and Favorites (1 being top):

Top 5 Best:
1. Springtrap (Glow)
2. Marionette (Glow)
3. Balloon Boy (Glow)
4. Cupcake (Glow)
5. Mangle (Funtime) (Glow)

Top 5 Favorites:
1. Springtrap (Glow)
2. Marionette (Glow)
3. Mangle (Funtime) (Glow)
4. Foxy (Glow)
5. Toy Bonnie (Glow)

I hope you enjoyed the review.  Keep on the look out for Series 2's reviews in the future! Thanks again!

Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series Glow 1 - Intro.

After the success of the first series of the Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis, we got a re-release of several figures in glow-in-the-dark variations. I was never quite clear on what to call this series, so I just call it "Series Glow 1" (in case they ever do this again in the future). It was an interesting decision to me, considering how they could have made a few more new characters instead of re-using the same molds. We also got two glow-in-the-dark variants in the first series (although are slightly different than these). Fortunately this new series had 12 figures with 1/12 rarities, meaning you could complete the series with only one case!

Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series 1 - Review (Part 2), Conclusion

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out the Introduction Post and Part1)

This is a continuation of the the first series of the Five Nights at Freddy's (FNaF) line of mystery minis. We reviewed the first 12 of the 20 figures in the first part, so lets get into the last 8 figures in this part.

Character: Shadow Freddy
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/36 (Hot Topic only)
To my knowledge, this is based on the Shadow Freddy in FNaF 2 and not the one in FNaF 3's minigame (more details on this analysis in the Intro. post). The figure is great and has a very mischievous look to it with the solid white eyes. Although I would prefer a sitting pose, it still looks good! Also note that it has a very dark navy/velvet color.

Character: Marionnette
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12
They captured its design and appearance wonderfully! I like how they posed the hands and gave it some pudge around the waist to add to the super-deformed proportions. The tiny paint around the arms and legs is impressive. It is easily one of my favorites of this series. It would be neat to make a little box for him to pop out of like the POP they later released!

Character: Balloon Boy
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12
Hello! Balloon Boy is captured well in this figure. They gave him a lot of detail in the clothing and balloon itself. In fact, I'd argue this is the one with the most detail of all the figures in the set due to Balloon Boy's design. It may be easy to overlook the figure, it definitely had much care and work put into it's design and fabrication.

Character: Endoskeleton
Appearance: FNaF 2 (?)
Rarity: 1/36
This seems to be based off the Endoskeleton from FNaF 2, but it has a tie, hat, looks more like Freddy. I'd like to say it' could be a unique Funko creation (like the Mangle figure in this series). Still, not 100% sure, the intention could have been FNAF 2. I'll say it's the FNaF 2 Endoskeleton based off how the design looks, ignoring the bowtie and hat. Either way, it's a great figure!

Character: Cupcake
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12
This cupcake is based off the one you see Toy Chica holding in FNaF 2.  It is nearly identical to the one in the game. It's interesting they went with this one versus the one in the first game (as seen in the Quidd application), but I like it. Not much else to say. Maybe they will bring us more Cupcake variants in the future?

Character: Crying Child
Appearance: FNaF 2 / FNaF 3
Rarity: 1/36
This is based off the sprite used for the crying children briefly seen in FNaF 2 and more prominently seen in FNaF 3. The 'tears' were originally going to be gray like the game, but were switched to blue to clarify the crying tears. I think it's a bizarre choice for a figure, yet being so important to the store it does make sense.

Character: Springtrap
Appearance: FNaF 3
Rarity: 1/12
The villain himself, Springtrap! I think they did a wonderful job with this figure and were able to capture his cute but creepy look. He has a lot of wear marks sculpted and painted around the figure. The wires are a nice touch, as well as the different stylized eyes to represent a person underneath the mask. Very well done!

Character: Shadow Bonnie / Purple Bonnie
Appearance: FNaF 3
Rarity: 1/12 (Hot Topic only)
While it's called "Purple Bonnie", it could be called "Shadow Bonnie" per the Funko POP! and Pint Size Hero that looks like this figure. It also seems to be strongly based off the one in the FNaF 3 minigames. More discussion in the Intro. post. Anyway, the figures is nicely detailed, and I like the two tone purple used!

Conclusion

Overall the figures are really well made (on occasions there are quality control issues though). The selection of characters is great, and most of the design choices are fantastic. I would have preferred we got the Toys standing up instead of sitting, but the direction works at the same time.

This series did well enough to warrant a second series of figures, and later a third. We didn't get the Withered, Phantoms, and some of the more obscure characters from FNaF 2 or 3, but we did get a pretty hefty selection otherwise. Later Funko released some figures of FNaF 2 characters in different series.

Below I listed my personal ranking of the top five figures in terms of quality/design/creativity. I've broken this into a list of what I think are the best of the series, and what I consider to be my favorites (#1 being the top).

Top 5 Best:
1. Springtrap
2. Bonnie
3. Endoskeleton
4. Foxy
5. Freddy

Top 5 Favorites:
1. Mangle
2. Freddy
3. Foxy
4. Marionette
5. Springtrap

I hope you enjoyed this review!  I may update this post later with more pictures. For now, thank you again for your time. Look forward to more reviews of FNaF mystery minis and more on my blog! Thanks!

Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series 1 - Review (Part 1)

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out the Introduction Post)

This is the first series of the Five Nights at Freddy's (FNaF) line of mystery minis. This series included characters from FNaF, FNaF 2, and FNaF 3. Most of the cast from each game appear, including some obscure characters.  I'll review each figure in order of their appearance per game order. There are a few characters I'm not quite sure where to put, so I placed them where I felt was most appropriate. The same goes for some of the names of figures. There are 20 figures in the first series, so I'll do the first 12 in this review and the remaining 8 in the next.

Before I begin, I'd like to point out I'm adding slightly large watermarks to my images this time. In the past, I had the unpleasant experience of people claiming my work as their own as well questioning the authenticity of the data I provided in said work (for FNaF figure images). I don't like using watermarks, but feel they are necessary most of the time, especially for these series of figures and how I'm reviewing them.

Now that out of the way, we can get into the review already!

Character: Freddy Fazbear
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12
This is the bear that started it all, Freddy Fazbear! The figure is neat and he comes with his microphone. He is holding the microphone in the wrong hand, and his ears are slightly big, but otherwise I think he looks great! A must have for any fan of the series!

Character: Bonnie the Rabbit
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12
This is a neat figure, coming with the guitar like how you see Bonnie on stage. It even has a small tail on the back. There are no bends in the ears like we see in other Bonnie figures, but I think that's okay. The guitar is detailed well and the pose is solid.

Character: Chica the Chicken
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12 (Retail and Hot Topic only)
I like how they stylized wings on Chica's arms and feathers on her face, even though it's not like that in the game. It makes me think that would have been neat to see as Chica's original design. The printing on the bib is nicely applied and is an easy detail to overlook. The pose is also great too.

Character: Foxy the Pirate
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12
He's captured very well in this set! I like his fierce expression, and the hook being raised up a bit. Also there are some subtle details like the wear marks around his body and pants. He's a favorite character of mine, so I'm glad they did him justice in the figure.

Character: Golden Freddy
Appearance: FNaF
Rarity: 1/12 (Retail and Walmart only)
The menacing and mysterious Golden Freddy is captured greatly in this figure. The shadow effect around the eyes is well done. The ears are also slightly smaller than Freddy's ears, and are more accurate in my opinion. Good figure overall!

Character: Toy Freddy
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12 (Retail and Hot Topic only)
Just as adorable and terrifying as he was in the games. His eyes are blacked out, similar to how he appears in part of the game. Although I'd prefer them white like Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica, it does make him stand out from the cast and other Freddy figures. I think they nailed it with this figure!

Character: Toy Freddy (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12 (Walmart only)
This is a glow-in-the-dark variant of the regular Toy Freddy.  This is an original design Funko made themselves as it's not in the games. He does glow fairly well, just not much else to say about him. They made another glow Toy Freddy in the next series strangely enough. I think it's a neat figure though.

Character: Toy Bonnie
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12 (Retail only)
A fan favorite of many, they did the figure justice like the rest! The character itself is colorful, so it's great to see this translated into the figure. I like the slightly smug expression on him, since he does seem to be the more active and expressive of the Toy animatronics in the game. They did a good job.

Character: Toy Chica
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12 (Walmart only)
This is a neat figure that I think nearly matches her face in the game (she has a very round face). There's not much more to say, just glad they made her as she's on stage. Like the FNaF Chica, the nice detail of the bib is easily overlooked. I also like they used a unique sculpt for the hair.

Character: Toy Chica (Beakless)
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/36 (Retail and Walmart only)
This is the version of Toy Chica you see when she roams off the stage. I always found her beakless version creepier. You see her like this the most throughout the game, so it makes sense to make her. Just like the regular Toy Chica, they did a good job with her.

Character: Toy Chica (Beakless) (Glow)
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12 (Hot Topic only)
This is a glow-in-the-dark variant of the beakless Toy Chica. Like the Glow Toy Freddy, this one also isn't from the games or any medium. I guess someone at Funko really likes Toy Chica to have two variants of her and the FNaF 2 Cupcake? Like the Glow Toy Freddy, this one also glows well.

Character: Mangle (Funtime Foxy)
Appearance: FNaF 2
Rarity: 1/12 (Walmart only)
This is Mangle, presumably before being 'mangled'. I like to call this "Funtime Foxy" too (although "Mangle" is most appropriate). This is one of my favorites as both a figure and character! The broken eye socket is a nice touch. I hope they make a 'mangled' version in the future like Nightmare Mangle.

I hope you enjoyed the first part of the FNaF Series 1 Mystery Mini review!  I'll be sure to follow this up with the second part here shortly.  Thanks for your time!

Horror Classics - Series 3 - Review (Part 2), Conclusion

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out my Introduction and Review (Part 1) posts)

In my last Post, I went over 12 of the 21 figures in the Horror Classics Series 3. I'll go over the last 9 in this post, with a conclusion at the end. Also, there is a bonus discussion about the 2017 Walgreens distribution. Here we go!

---
Character: Terror Dog (Vinz Clortho)
Appearance: Ghostbusters (movie, 1984)
Rarity: 1/12 (Walgreens only)
This figure is great and I was so happy to see it made! They teased this when Series 3 was first released (along with Tiffany and Masked Alex), and then prototypes started coming out for this mold. I was happy we got Slimer, yet wished we got this too. The figure looks great and captures that same style of the other Horror Classics figures! The paint in the mouth looks great too, which is something very commonly messed-up for figures in general. Note that based on the horns, this Terror Dog is the one which was manifested by Vinz Clortho. I could see someone customizing the horns to make one based off Zuul.

Horror Classics - Series 3 - Review (Part 1)

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out the Introduction Post)

There are 21 figures in total within Funko's Horror Classic's Series 3 Mystery Mini set. This review will be broken into parts, where Part 1 will cover the first 12. I'll list them in order of date of first appearance. However, like Alfred Hitchcock in Series 2, Elvira kind of throws a wrench in the plan again. To mend this again I'll treat Elvira as 'first appearing' in the television show "Movie Macabre" (1981).

Lets get into those figures already!
---
Character: Imhotep (The Mummy)
Appearance: The Mummy (movie, 1932)
Rarity: 1/24 (Retail, Hot Topic), 1/12 (Walgreens)
The Mummy joins the collection! He isn't as colorful as other characters with the exception of the gold ring. His pose matches his look in the movie and I think makes it fairly clear who it is. One unfortunate aspect of the figure is how plain the colors are on him. There is a lot of detail hidden from afar due to the plain colors. This isn't a nick at the figure, just something I noticed. Like the Wolf Man, he is underrated in my opinion.

News Post: Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series 3

Update 5 (05/03/2018): Collection complete!

Update 4 (04/14/2018): Added rarities and fixed minor details.

Update 3 (02/19/2018): New York Toy Fair 2018 showcase of Twisted Wolf Mystery Mini.

Update 2 (02/08/2018): I've added more observations which could imply a Series 4 is on the way too (or I'm over analyzing).

Update 1 (01/22/2018): The London Toy Fair has lead to the official reveal of these by Funko!  They released updated images and nine previously unrevealed  exclusives.

Original Post (01/11/2018): Today I'd like to make a News Post. These types of posts on this blog will be related to recently revealed or released items that peak my interest.

Leaks were made of a Series 3 for Funko's Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis, subtitled Twisted Ones (from the book). In the leak was a listing for a Gamestop Exclusive set. Funko has released their 2018 Catalog which showed some of the figures. The character choices are pretty interesting. For one thing, they seem to be focusing on the rest of the Sister Location characters (from Series 2), and the Twisted Ones characters. Secondly, the choices for Sister Location seem to reach into unexpected characters.

Godzilla - Gashapon Netsuke 2017 Figures

In November 2017, Bandai released a new set of netsuke and chibi-style kaiju, gashapon keychain figures (say that five times fast!). They have previously been releasing sets of various Toho movie monsters and Ultraman monsters in this netsuke style. I'll go over the last Toho movie monster set in a future review, but for now let's check these Godzilla ones out!

(promotional image source: https://hlj.com/product/BANN20128)
This set is all Godzilla, focusing on the more recent 2016 and 2017 incarnations. I'm a big fan of Godzilla and merchandise like this (small-scaled, chibi-style figures). Each figure is approximately 1.5" tall (1.5" long for the 2016 2nd Form). They are made of semi-hard plastic with a keychain ring installed for carrying around. I haven't tried to take one of the keychains out myself, but from some testing it seems possible. A few figures seem easy for it to remove, but others may cause more damage in their removal. For the sake of the figures and review, I left the keychain in. They aren't too distracting to me (if I get doubles in the future I may try it out though).
