Five Nights at Freddy's - Series 2 - Introduction

In 2016, Funko continued their line of Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis with Series 2: Sister Location + Five Nights at Freddy's 4! These were all new molds compared to the Glow Series before it. They also were characters only from FNaF 4 and FNaF:SL (with the exception of Withered Bonnie). It came out to about half and half from each game, spanning 24 characters. There were also three stores with their own set of exclusives. All in all, the series was fantastic and brought quite a few great figures to the line! Lets go into some more details.

Funko later revealed all the promotional images and the store exclusives. Early on they showed off concept art, and then later showed updated images. Other stores released some promotional artwork too. Note: Hot Topic didn't have an exclusive case, just sold the Retail Case. Also, since ToysRUs is no longer a cooperate entity, their website is no longer live (just like several of Funko's older blog posts)

Fortunately they never went beyond 1/36 rarities with store exclusive figures. Nightmare Cupcake and Nightmare Mangle were both 1/72, meaning you could get one at any store. I found this a good idea, since that would allow someone that missed an exclusive to instead get a more rare figure. The character selection was great too! My only complaint was no regular Bidybab figure (just the faceplate version). It was also strange to get Withered Bonnie, although I was very happy they made him. The 'jumpscare'/faceplate variants were interesting. They were a nice addition to beef up the Sister Location figure selection. Personally I wasn't a fan, until I got one and realized how much detail they put into it. It also introduced 1/6 rarities into the FNaF Mystery Mini line, which wasn't very welcome with many (including me). The details on the figures were amazing, making me wonder how they were able to capture them into such small figurines.

This series took me the longest to complete due to my indifference for some figures and how hard it was to find some of the exclusive in stores. At one point the Walmarts near me never got any exclusive cases in stock, just regular retail cases. ToysRUs kept exclusives in stock, but good luck beating anyone to the cases. Gamestop came through as usual though. This series was annoying to collect, but the figures more than made up for it! I'll review these figures in a future post. In the mean time, thanks for stopping by!

(p.s. If someone would be kind enough to show me where to find the Promotional Artwork of the Gamestop Exclusive Case, I'd be super appreciative and add it to this page! Thanks!)
