Five Nights at Freddy's Mystery Minis - Series 2 - Review (Part 2), Conclusion

(If you haven't already, feel free to check out the Introduction Post and Part 1)

In the last review we went over the first 12, mostly Nightmares, from Series 2 of the FNaF Mystery Minis set. In this review, we'll cover the last 12, mostly Sister Location characters. At the end will be a wrap-up of the series and my final thoughts. Some of the figures are called 'jumpscare' with their face plates opened up. That doesn't particularly mean they are jumpscaring you in the form the figure takes though (ex. Funtime Freddy). It just seems like the best name for the variation compared to the regular figure.

Character: Fredbear Plush
Appearance: FNaF 4 / FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/12 (Gamestop Only)

This is based off the plush you see in FNaF 4 and later in FNaF: SL. It seems to be based off a mix of both. I love the design and pose. The figure is also very small compared to the other figures. There's a good amount of expression and detail for such a small figure. He's a favorite of mine!

Character: Circus Baby
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/12

The star of Sister Location: Circus Baby! She looks a little off as a Mystery Mini since her head is fairly square in the game. There are a ton of details on her, ranging from the shoes, face, even the microphone! Good job Funko.

Character: Circus Baby (Jumpscare)
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/36 (Walmart Only)

This is Circus Baby as we see her with the face plates pulled back. We don't see her do this in the game, only in the teaser trailer for Sister Location. It's a neat figure and really captures her creepiness. Just like the normal Circus Baby, this one adds even more detail! How do they do it?

Character: Bidybab (Jumpscare)
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/36 (ToysRUs Only)
This is a Bidybab you see on the first night trying to hide. Specifically this is the 'jumpscare' version of it with the face plates open. We haven't got a normal version with the face plates closed yet, but one exists based on Quidd. The figure is really nice though and small. Mine has an issue with standing up because of the size of the back plate pulling him back. Otherwise good stuff! I'd like to see a normal Bidybab in the future.

Character: Ballora
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/12 (Retail and ToysRUs Only)

The dancer of the series, Ballora! She is posted as she normally is. The proportions on her are really nice considering how lanky she is in the game. I like all the attention given to her feet and skirt in particular. It may not look like it at first, but you can rotate her head around like all the other minis. She's a good figure.

Character: Ballora (Jumpscare)
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/12 (Walmart Only)

Even creepier is her Ballora's exposed face during a jumpscare. This is her as seen in Night 2 when running into you. I think they proportioned her well like the normal Ballora, even though she looks a little off in the face. I'm not sure what it is. She still looks good!

Character: Stacked Minireenas
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/36 (ToysRUs Only)
This figure is two Minireenas stacked on top of one another. Quidd refers to the figure as 'Stacked Minreenas'. A person can interpret this as Minireena or Minireena 2 if they wanted. The figure is great and tiny, just barely reaching Ballora's height. You can rotate the head of bottom one, but the top one is held in place. The details are great for such a tiny figure! According to an artist at Funko, this figure almost didn't get added to the series. I'm very thankful they made it!

Character: Funtime Freddy
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/12 (Not at Walmart)
A great figure of Funtime Freddy with Bon-Bon on his arm. Bon-Bon is well detailed just like Funtime Freddy. You can't rotate Bon-Bon sadly, but you can rotate Funtime Freddy's head to make it look like he's talking to him. I think this figure especially has good shelf presence with the vibrant colors! I love this figure.

Character: Funtime Freddy (Jumpscare)
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/12 (Walmart Only)
This is Funtime Freddy with his face plates exposed, specifically when he's being repaired on Night 3. Even Bon-Bon is missing from the hand. I like how huge his head is with the face plates opened up. There is some black where wires would be, which I guess is just to save on cost. It looks great regardless!

Character: Funtime Foxy
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/36 (Not at ToysRUs)
Another great contender to this series, Funtime Foxy! Not to be confused with Mangle Funtime Foxy. This figure even has the tail on the back. All the details are there, even the pink around the eyes. It's a great figure to have.

Character: Funtime Foxy (Jumpscare)
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/24 (ToysRUs Only)
This is Funtime Foxy as seen when attacking you on Night 3. All the face plates are pulled back for the pounce. There seems to be even more metal shown on this figure than the other 'jumpscare' minis, and it makes the figure pop out well.

Character: Ennard
Appearance: FNaF: SL
Rarity: 1/24

This is grand finale, Ennard! He looks great all mushed together in the Mystery Mini form. There isn't much detail on the back of the head. The black for the eye is a little strange, wish they carved it out a bit. Otherwise the figure is spot on. Even the eyes are all nicely colored for such small details. This figure is amazing and a great way to end the series!

Conclusion

That wraps up all the figures from Series 2! Wow, what a large series! Not many Mystery Minis get a series this large, and sometimes not even an entire set this large. The figure selection was great with some nice bonuses. Personally I would have preferred other figures in place of the 'jumpscare' variants, but they have grown on me over the year(s). I'm always impressed with the amount of details they give these approx. 2 inch figures, it's unreal at times.

They didn't quite get all the characters from FNaF 4 or Sister Location. The next series brought us the rest of the Sister Location figures (except a normal Bidybab and Electrobab), along with Nightmare and Jack-O-Bonnie. It was nice to see love brought into even the more obscure or less popular characters, like Minireena or Nightmare Cupcake. Funko has shown a lot of great support to Five Nights at Freddy's over the years, and this series is a prime example of said love!

Onto the ratings: As usual I'll rate who I think are the top 5 best figures in terms of quality, design, etc. and then my personal top 5 favorite figures.

Top 5 Bests:
1. Funtime Freddy
2. Nightmare Mangle
3. Funtime Foxy (Jumpscare)
4. Nightmare Chica
5. Circus Baby

Top 5 Favorites:
1. Funtime Freddy
2. Plushtrap
3. Nightmare Mangle
4. Nightmare Bonnie
5. Stacked Minireenas

Funko's love for FNaF didn't stop here, as they continued with Series 3 in 2018! Keep on the lookout for those reviews in the future. Thanks for reading the review!
